Pipers have played at Military and State funerals for centuries, but now a lone piper is becoming more of a common feature at family funerals. The Pipes add a special touch to any funeral providing sweet haunting melodies. The sound of the bagpipes is the perfect send off for your loved ones. They can be used at any type of funeral, whether it be a cremation or burial.

At funerals the Piper can:

• Pipe slow marches or airs while the cortege moves towards the graveside.

• Play a lament during the lowering of the coffin, normally 'Flowers of the Forest'.

• Play some retreats or marches when the mourners leave the graveside.
  

The Piper can play for the arrival of mourner and the funeral cortege at the crematorium.
